What are the structural characteristics of air-insulated metal armored withdrawable medium voltage switchgear?

Metal Clad:

  • The cabinet is made from high-quality cold-rolled steel plates, which are processed and bent using CNC equipment. It is assembled into a robust metal-clad structure using bolts, nuts, and other fasteners. This design provides high mechanical strength and protective capabilities, effectively preventing external objects from colliding with and damaging the internal electrical components.

Draw-Out Design:

  • Major electrical components, such as circuit breakers, contactors, and relays, are mounted on drawable trolleys. The trolleys and the cabinet are precisely aligned using guide rails and positioning devices, facilitating easy maintenance and repair. The trolleys can be withdrawn without interrupting power, allowing for the replacement or repair of faulty components. This significantly enhances the reliability and continuity of power supply.

Air Insulation:

  • Air is used as the insulating medium, with appropriate air gaps maintained between phases and between the phases and ground to meet insulation requirements. This design is simple and cost-effective, and it does not suffer from issues such as insulation aging or environmental pollution. However, the insulating properties of air are more susceptible to environmental factors. In harsh environments, such as high altitudes, humid conditions, or areas with heavy pollution, the insulation distance may need to be increased to ensure adequate performance.

FAQ
Q: What are the key points of daily maintenance for environmentally friendly cabinets?
A:
Daily maintenance key points include: 1) Checking the gas pressure gauge regularly to ensure it is within the normal range (avoiding leakage); 2) Monitoring the dew point of insulating gas (especially in humid environments); 3) Inspecting the cabinet's appearance for corrosion, deformation, or damage; 4) Cleaning the cabinet's surface and ventilation ports to prevent dust accumulation; 5) Checking the operation status of auxiliary components (e.g., relays, meters) to ensure they work normally.
Q: How often do environmentally friendly cabinets need professional inspection?
A:
Professional inspection is recommended annually for general scenarios. For harsh environments (humid coastal areas, high-temperature industrial parks, alpine regions), semi-annual inspection is required. The inspection content includes gas tightness test, dew point detection, insulation resistance test, short-circuit breaking performance test, and component aging inspection. Comprehensive maintenance is needed every 5 years to replace aging seals and auxiliary components.
