What are the technical parameters of SF6 gas-insulated metal armored switchgear?

Rated Voltage:

  • Common rated voltage levels include 12kV, 24kV, and 40.5kV, and can be selected based on the voltage level of the power system and application requirements.

Rated Current:

  • The range of rated current values is broad, typically from a few hundred amperes to several thousand amperes, such as 630A, 1250A, 1600A, 2000A, 3150A, etc. The specific value depends on the size of the connected load and the capacity requirements of the power system.

Rated Short-Circuit Breaking Capacity:

  • Typically ranges from 20kA to 50kA. This parameter reflects the switchgear's ability to interrupt short-circuit currents. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity must be greater than the maximum possible short-circuit current in the power system to ensure reliable interruption of fault currents during a fault, preventing the accident from escalating.

Gas Pressure:

  • The rated pressure for SF6 gas is generally between 0.03MPa and 0.16MPa. The actual operating pressure may be adjusted according to the specific requirements of the equipment and environmental factors such as temperature. During operation, it is necessary to monitor and control the gas pressure to ensure it remains within the specified range, thereby ensuring the insulation and arc-quenching performance of the equipment.

A Brief Discussion on the Selection of Grounding Transformers in Boost StationsThe grounding transformer, commonly referred to as "grounding transformer," operates under the condition of being no-load during normal grid operation and overloaded during short-circuit faults. According to the difference in filling medium, common types can be divided into oil-immersed and dry-type; according to phase number, they can be classified into three-phase and single-phase grounding transformers.
