The disconnector consists of three single-pole units and an operating mechanism. Each pole comprises a galvanized steel base, rotating post insulators mounted at both ends, and a conductive assembly with self-lubricating rotating contacts. The V-type opening motion ensures a compact footprint while maintaining adequate phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth clearances.
The RDS-126 is widely used in 110 kV and 132 kV class substations for busbar and feeder isolation, line disconnection, and bus-transfer current switching. It is well-suited for distribution substations, industrial power parks, wind farm collection stations, and utility primary substations.
A earthing switch can be installed on one or both sides, available with manual or motor operation. The disconnector supports both single-pole and three-pole linkage operation.
