Product Detail
Description

XGN15-12 SF6 high voltage ring main unit is a new generation of air-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear. Through continuous improvement, its perfect performance and flexible assembly characteristics can meet the changing needs of the market.

XGN15-12 SF6 high voltage ring main unit provides technical solutions for various applications. The device is safe, convenient and compact in size. For 12kV ring network power supply, double radiation power supply system. It can also be used for terminal power supply, as a control and protection device for electrical energy, and is also suitable for installation in box-type substations.

XGN15-12 high voltage SF6 gas insulated rmu is a compact and scalable switchgear suitable for distribution automation systems. It has the interlock function to prevent the load switch from being closed, to prevent the grounding switch from closing the load switch and the lower door when the grounding switch is in the closed position. Sensing technology and the use of the latest protection relays make the switchgear suitable for operation in demanding hospitals and airports, etc。

Feature

  • Superior Insulation Performance: Uses SF6 gas as the insulating medium, with high dielectric strength. It stably blocks current leakage in 12kV high-voltage environments, significantly reducing the risk of faults such as short circuits and flashovers, ensuring continuous system operation.
  • Compact High-Voltage Adaptable Design: Optimized structure for 12kV high-voltage scenarios, featuring a small size yet capable of withstanding high-voltage loads. It saves installation space, especially suitable for high-voltage distribution environments with limited space such as urban substations and high-rise buildings.
  • Comprehensive Safety Protection: Equipped with complete mechanical and electrical interlocking devices to prevent incorrect switching and misoperations; built-in SF6 gas leakage monitoring system provides real-time leakage warnings, complying with high-voltage equipment safety standards.
  • Low Maintenance & High Durability: Fully sealed gas chamber design effectively isolates dust, moisture, and corrosive substances, reducing erosion of internal components by the external environment, extending equipment lifespan, and lowering long-term maintenance costs.
  • Flexible High-Voltage Adaptability: Supports multiple high-voltage wiring methods, seamlessly connecting with 12kV transformers, cables, and other equipment, meeting the topological requirements of different high-voltage distribution networks with strong adaptability.
  • Balance of Environmental Protection and Economy: SF6 gas is recyclable and reusable, reducing resource waste; long-term stable operation of the equipment minimizes downtime losses, balancing environmental benefits and economic costs.

What is the difference between a dielectric and an insulator?
What is the difference between a dielectric and an insulator?
Dielectrics and insulators are distinguished primarily by their applications. One of the main differences is that a dielectric can store electrical energy by becoming polarized in an electric field, whereas an insulator resists the flow of electrons to prevent current conduction. Other key differences between them are outlined in the comparison chart below.Definition of DielectricA dielectric material is a type of insulator that contains few or no free electrons. When subjected to an electric fi

Fault Analysis and Treatment of Oil-Immersed Transformers
Oil Leakage at Welded JointsOil leakage at welded joints primarily stems from poor welding quality, such as incomplete or detached welds, and defects like pinholes and gas pores. Although oil-immersed transformers are initially coated with solder and paint during manufacturing, potentially masking these issues temporarily, the defects tend to surface during operation. Additionally, electromagnetic vibration can cause weld cracks, leading to oil leakage. To resolve such leaks, the first critical s

What losses occur during operation of the transformer? How to reduce losses?
Transformers experience various types of losses during operation, primarily categorized into two main types: copper losses and iron losses.Copper LossesCopper losses, also known as I²R losses, are caused by the electrical resistance of the transformer windings—typically made of copper. As current flows through the windings, energy is dissipated in the form of heat. These losses are proportional to the square of the load current (I²R), meaning they increase significantly with high
