Product descriptions from the supplier

Description

Smart power capacitors are fully integrated low-voltage reactive power compensation devices combining:

  • Intelligent measurement and control unit
  • Zero-crossing switching device
  • Intelligent protection unit
  • Two single-phase or one three-phase self-healing power capacitor(s)

This all-in-one structure replaces multiple traditional components such as reactive power controller, fuses/MCBs, thyristor switches/contactors, thermal relays, indicator lamps, and stand-alone power capacitors.

Each unit operates as an independent smart compensation module and can be deployed individually or networked into a complete compensation system. It supports both three-phase compensation and mixed three-phase + split-phase compensation, making it adaptable to different load conditions.

Designed with advanced sensing, electronics, IoT networking, and power electrical technologies, smart capacitors provide a compact, standardized, intelligent, and highly reliable solution that significantly improves compensation efficiency and reduces installation and operational complexity.

They redefine the traditional structure of low-voltage reactive power compensation equipment, greatly enhancing system reliability, extending service life, reducing production and maintenance costs, and enabling future-oriented power quality management.

Product Introduction

Smart capacitor modules integrate:

  • Intelligent measurement and control unit
  • Zero-cross switching technology
  • Intelligent protection circuits
  • Low-voltage self-healing power capacitors (three-phase or dual-single-phase)

Replacing multiple discrete components such as controllers, fuses/MCBs, thyristor/contactor switches, thermal relays, etc., each unit forms a fully independent and intelligent PFC module.

Supports:

  •  Single unit operation
  • Multi-unit networking
  •  Three-phase or mixed phase compensation

With advanced electronic sensing, network communication, and modular electrical design, the device provides:

  • Higher reliability and longer service life
  • Simplified installation and maintenance
  • Lower overall project cost
  • Full digital and intelligent management

This new generation of reactive compensation solution modernizes low-voltage power factor improvement and power quality control.

Why Do Substations Use Stones, Gravel, Pebbles, and Crushed Rock?In substations, equipment such as power and distribution transformers, transmission lines, voltage transformers, current transformers, and disconnect switches all require grounding. Beyond grounding, we will now explore in depth why gravel and crushed stone are commonly used in substations. Though they appear ordinary, these stones play a critical safety and functional role.In substation grounding design—especially when multiple gr

Why Does the Transformer Core Need to Be Grounded?During operation, the transformer core, along with the metal structures, parts, and components that fix the core and windings, are all situated in a strong electric field. Under the influence of this electric field, they acquire a relatively high potential with respect to ground. If the core is not grounded, a potential difference will exist between the core and the grounded clamping structures and tank, which may lead to intermittent discharge.I
