Description

The Rockwill RDS series outdoor ultra-high voltage (UHV) disconnector is rated for 800 kV and 1000 kV, designed for three-phase AC UHV transmission systems. It provides visible isolation for equipment maintenance, performs no-load line switching, and handles bus-transfer current switching in UHV substations. The disconnector is suitable for 750 kV, 800 kV, and 1000 kV nominal system voltages.

The disconnector adopts a heavy-duty horizontal center-break structure with two insulator columns per phase, reinforced for UHV-class mechanical and electrical loads. Corona grading rings are fitted at the blade tips, contact ends, and terminal connectors to suppress corona discharge, control radio interference, and prevent audible corona noise. The conductive blade and contact system maintain a uniform electric field distribution, keeping RIV below 500 µV at rated voltage.

The SRCJ2 motor actuator provides single-pole operation with three-pole linkage capability. The earthing switch is installed on one or both sides and is available with manual or motor operation
