Description

The RDS series outdoor high-voltage disconnector is designed for 40.5 kV (35 kV nominal) three-phase AC power systems. It is used for no-load line switching and isolation of high-voltage equipment, providing a visible isolating gap for safe maintenance.

The disconnector adopts a double-post horizontal center-break design. Each pole consists of a base, two post insulators, and conductive components. The two insulators are mounted on bearing housings at both ends of the base and are connected by a crossover connecting rod for horizontal rotation. The conductive blade is made of copper tubes, with contacts located at the midpoint between the two insulators. The operating mechanism drives rotation of one insulator, which drives the other through a linkage system, achieving a horizontal center break.

The product is unipolar; three separate poles are linked by a connecting rod with left-hand and right-hand threads for easy phase synchronization adjustment. Single-phase operation is also supported.

The RDS disconnector can be equipped with an earthing switch on one or both sides, with manual or motor operating mechanisms for three-pole linkage operation.
