The RDS series outdoor disconnector is designed for 40.5 kV, 126 kV, and 145 kV three-phase AC power systems. It provides visible isolation for equipment maintenance and performs no-load line switching and bus-transfer current switching in distribution and sub-transmission networks.
Each phase consists of two insulator columns. The conductive blade is mounted on the rotating insulator and opens at the center to form a horizontal isolating break. All three phases are mechanically linked via connecting rods for simultaneous three-pole operation, ensuring consistent opening and closing across all phases.
The disconnector can be operated manually via the CS14G mechanism or motorized via the CJ2 mechanism, providing flexibility for different substation automation levels. The earthing switches can be installed on one or both sides with mechanical interlock against incorrect operation.
