Product descriptions from the supplier

Description

Grounding flange is a component used in the fields of power equipment, electrical systems, etc. to achieve grounding connection function. Combining with the grounding flange in this picture, the following will introduce it to you:
Basic structure and appearance
These grounding flanges have a disc-shaped appearance, with a white body and some holes distributed on top. These holes are usually used for bolt installation and fixation to connect the grounding flange to other equipment components. At the same time, it also comes with metal connectors (such as copper components), which are used for electrical connection and grounding function.
working principle
The grounding flange is connected to the grounding wire through a metal connector. When the equipment experiences leakage or abnormal high voltage, the current can be introduced into the ground through the grounding flange, thereby ensuring the safety of the equipment and personnel. For example, in high-voltage electrical equipment, once the insulation is damaged, the fault current can quickly dissipate to the ground through the grounding flange, avoiding electric shock to personnel and further damage to the equipment.
Application scenarios
Power system: In GIS (gas insulated metal enclosed switchgear), grounding flanges are used to ground the equipment casing and ensure safe operation; Grounding flanges are also used at cable terminals, cable joints, and other locations to ensure the electrical safety of the cable system.
Industrial equipment: Some large industrial electrical equipment, such as large motors, transformers, etc., achieve reliable grounding of the equipment casing through grounding flanges to prevent equipment leakage and safety accidents.
Performance Requirements
Electrical performance: It has good conductivity to ensure that fault current can be quickly introduced into the ground and reduce grounding resistance. Generally, it is required that the grounding resistance be within the specified range, such as not exceeding a few ohms.
Mechanical performance: It has certain strength and corrosion resistance, and can withstand mechanical stress and environmental erosion during equipment operation. Because the grounding flange needs to be installed on the equipment for a long time, it needs to adapt to different environmental conditions, such as humidity, acidity, and alkalinity.

Under the influence of this electric field, they acquire a relatively high potential with respect to ground. If the core is not grounded, a potential difference will exist between the core and the grounded clamping structures and tank, which may lead to intermittent discharge.I
