Description
Description
RMR-36/40.5kV is a fully sealed SF6 gas-insulated switchgear, widely known as Ring Main Unit (RMU). It is mainly used for switching, protection and control in secondary power distribution networks, and fully complies with IEC and GB standards including IEC62271-200.
This series provides three modular unit configurations:
  • Code C: Cable switch unit with 3-position operation, equipped with live display, surge arresters and ground fault detection.
  • Code F: Fuse combination unit with switch-fuse tripping and interlock system, supporting reliable overcurrent protection.
  • Code V: Vacuum circuit breaker unit integrated with current transformer, microcomputer protection and complete auxiliary components.
The microcomputer protection module is CT-powered and requires no extra PT supply, realizing stable and simplified circuit protection. Fuse units comply with IEC 60420, while VCB units meet IEC 62271-100 and GB1984-2003.

Key Features

  • Fully SF6 gas-insulated and sealed structure, stable performance and strong anti-pollution ability.
  • Modular C/F/V design for flexible combination to meet different distribution requirements.
  • Passive microcomputer protection powered by CT, no additional PT power supply needed.
  • Complete with live display, surge arresters and ground fault components for high safety.
  • Complies with IEC and GB international standards, suitable for global power systems.
  • Excellent environmental adaptability up to 4000m altitude and strong seismic resistance.

Why Do Substations Use Stones, Gravel, Pebbles, and Crushed Rock?In substations, equipment such as power and distribution transformers, transmission lines, voltage transformers, current transformers, and disconnect switches all require grounding. Beyond grounding, we will now explore in depth why gravel and crushed stone are commonly used in substations. Though they appear ordinary, these stones play a critical safety and functional role.In substation grounding design—especially when multiple gr

Why Does the Transformer Core Need to Be Grounded?During operation, the transformer core, along with the metal structures, parts, and components that fix the core and windings, are all situated in a strong electric field. Under the influence of this electric field, they acquire a relatively high potential with respect to ground. If the core is not grounded, a potential difference will exist between the core and the grounded clamping structures and tank, which may lead to intermittent discharge.I
