Description

Product Description

66 - 500kV High-Voltage Power Cables with Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) Insulation are crucial components in modern power transmission systems. Designed to operate within a voltage range from 66 kilovolts to 500 kilovolts, these cables are primarily used for long - distance and large - capacity power transmission, connecting major power generation sources like power plants to substations in urban centers, industrial areas, and other key electricity - consuming regions. The cross - linked polyethylene insulation provides excellent electrical and thermal properties, ensuring stable and reliable power delivery over extended periods.

 Features

  • Wide Voltage Adaptability:These cables can handle a broad voltage spectrum from 66kV to 500kV. This flexibility allows them to be applied in various power grid scenarios, from regional high - voltage distribution networks to long - haul super - high - voltage transmission lines. For example, in a large - scale industrial zone, 66kV cables can distribute power within the area, while 500kV cables can connect the zone to a distant power plant.

  • Superior Insulation Performance:XLPE insulation offers high dielectric strength, effectively preventing electrical breakdown. It has a low dielectric loss, reducing energy dissipation during power transmission. Additionally, XLPE has good thermal stability, capable of withstanding continuous operating temperatures up to around 90°C, and short - circuit temperatures as high as 250°C for a short duration. This ensures the cable's long - term reliability and safety under different electrical load conditions.

  • Long - Distance Transmission Capability:Engineered for long - distance power transmission, these cables minimize power losses. The high - quality conductors, usually made of high - purity copper or aluminum, combined with the excellent insulation properties, enable efficient power transfer over tens or even hundreds of kilometers. This is essential for connecting remote power generation facilities, such as wind farms in coastal areas or hydroelectric power plants in mountainous regions, to major population centers.

  • Robust Mechanical and Environmental Resistance:They are constructed to withstand various mechanical stresses, including tensile forces, bending, and external impacts. The outer sheaths are often made of durable materials like polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride, providing protection against moisture, chemical corrosion, and physical damage. This makes the cables suitable for different installation environments, whether buried underground, laid in tunnels, or installed overhead.
