Product Detail

Overview

The steelmaking arc furnace transformer is a special transformer designed and manufactured according to the specific power supply requirements of electric arc furnace steelmaking production.

Applications
It is used for smelting high-quality steel, alloy steel, and aluminosilicate refractory fibers.

Feature

  • Specifically designed for steelmaking arc furnaces, it accurately matches the power requirements of different stages such as arc ignition, melting, and refining, outputs large currents to maintain stable high-temperature arcs, and ensures continuous and efficient steelmaking processes.

  • It has strong overload capacity, capable of coping with short-term load fluctuations caused by operations like charge feeding and electrode lifting, meeting the demand for short-term power increases in steelmaking processes.

  • It features excellent short-circuit resistance, with a reinforced mechanical structure design that can withstand the huge inrush current generated by instantaneous electrode short circuits, reducing the risk of equipment failure and extending service life.

  • It supports flexible voltage regulation functions. Through on-load voltage regulation or no-excitation voltage regulation, it can finely adjust the output voltage according to the smelting requirements of different steel grades, optimize arc characteristics, and improve molten steel quality.

  • It adapts to diverse impedance adjustment needs. Some models can adjust impedance by switching series reactors on/off or changing the connection mode of high-voltage windings, meeting the parameter requirements of different furnace types and smelting processes.

  • It adopts an efficient cooling system (such as forced oil circulation water cooling or air cooling), which can quickly dissipate a large amount of heat generated during steelmaking, ensuring stable operation of the transformer under high loads.

Structural Features
In addition to the characteristics of ordinary transformers, arc furnace transformers must meet the special requirements of steelmaking processes, including a certain overload capacity and mechanical strength against short circuits.

The regulation methods of arc furnace transformers are divided into two types: on-load voltage regulation and no-excitation voltage regulation. Arc furnace transformers with on-load voltage regulation are not equipped with series reactors.

Arc furnace transformers with no-excitation voltage regulation have two structural forms: those with series reactors and those without. Both structures can change impedance at the maximum secondary voltage. The former changes impedance by switching the series reactor on and off, while the latter changes impedance by altering the connection mode of the high-voltage windings of the arc furnace transformer itself.

Analysis of Issues and Causes in Smart Meter Testing
1. Issues and Cause Analysis in Smart Electricity Meter TestingDuring the verification of smart electricity meters, inspections must be conducted on the meter’s appearance, as well as the clarity and integrity of nameplate markings. Additionally, careful checks are required for physical damage and whether the display can show digits completely. A power-on inspection is also necessary. If error codes appear on the display after power-up, faults should be identified and addressed according to the
