What is hysteresis loss in no-load loss?

Hysteresis Loss:

  • Definition: Hysteresis loss is the energy loss caused by the reversal and friction of magnetic domains when the core material is repeatedly magnetized and demagnetized in an alternating magnetic field.

  • Reason: In an alternating magnetic field, the orientation of magnetic domains in the core material changes with the variation of the magnetic field, and energy is consumed during this process.

  • Influencing Factors: Hysteresis loss is related to the hysteresis loop of the core material. The larger the area of the hysteresis loop, the greater the hysteresis loss. Commonly - used low - loss core materials include silicon - steel sheets and amorphous alloys.
