Product Detail

Description:

The grounding switch refers to a mechanical earthing device that releases the electrostatic charge of the equipment to be repaired and the circuit and ensures the personal safety of the maintenance personnel during power failure. It can withstand a certain period of time under abnormal conditions such as a short circuit, but does not pass through the load current under normal conditions. It is usually part of the disconnector.

Industry applications:

It is suitable for power systems with AC 50Hz of 12kV and below. It can be used for grounding protection during the maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment, and can also be used with various types of high-voltage switchgear.

Features:

  • Ambient temperature: -15°C~+40°C.

  • Altitude: 1000m and below.

  • Relative humidity: daily average not more than 95%, monthly average not more than 90%.

  • The daily average value of water vapor pressure is not more than 2.2 kPa.

  • The monthly average water vapor pressure is not more than 1.8 kPa.

  • There is no fire, explosion hazard, serious pollution, chemical corrosion and severe vibration.

  • Our company has developed products suitable for high altitude (E≥230mm, altitude up to 4000m) for users to choose.

What are the structural characteristics of indoor high-voltage AC grounding switch?

Contact System:

  • Materials: The contact system typically uses high-performance conductive materials such as copper alloys to ensure good conductivity and the ability to withstand high current impacts.

  • Design: The shape of the contacts can vary, including knife-type contacts and finger-type contacts, among others. These designs aim to increase the contact area, reduce contact resistance, and minimize heat generation.

Operating Mechanism:

  • Manual: Simple and reliable, with lower costs. Suitable for applications where the frequency of operation is low.

  • Electric: Enables remote control and automated operations, making it easy to integrate with the monitoring systems of substations.

  • Spring-Operated: Combines the advantages of manual and electric mechanisms. It uses pre-stored spring energy to achieve fast and reliable opening and closing operations.

Insulation Section:

  • Insulators: Primarily composed of insulators made from materials such as ceramic, glass, or composite materials.

  • Ceramic Insulators: High mechanical strength and excellent insulation properties.

  • Glass Insulators: Good self-cleaning performance, capable of resisting windblown sand and dirt to some extent.

  • Composite Material Insulators: Combine multiple advantages, such as being lightweight and having excellent pollution resistance.

What is the difference between a dielectric and an insulator?
What is the difference between a dielectric and an insulator?
Dielectrics and insulators are distinguished primarily by their applications. One of the main differences is that a dielectric can store electrical energy by becoming polarized in an electric field, whereas an insulator resists the flow of electrons to prevent current conduction. Other key differences between them are outlined in the comparison chart below.Definition of DielectricA dielectric material is a type of insulator that contains few or no free electrons. When subjected to an electric fi

Fault Analysis and Treatment of Oil-Immersed Transformers
Oil Leakage at Welded JointsOil leakage at welded joints primarily stems from poor welding quality, such as incomplete or detached welds, and defects like pinholes and gas pores. Although oil-immersed transformers are initially coated with solder and paint during manufacturing, potentially masking these issues temporarily, the defects tend to surface during operation. Additionally, electromagnetic vibration can cause weld cracks, leading to oil leakage. To resolve such leaks, the first critical s

What losses occur during operation of the transformer? How to reduce losses?
Transformers experience various types of losses during operation, primarily categorized into two main types: copper losses and iron losses.Copper LossesCopper losses, also known as I²R losses, are caused by the electrical resistance of the transformer windings—typically made of copper. As current flows through the windings, energy is dissipated in the form of heat. These losses are proportional to the square of the load current (I²R), meaning they increase significantly with high
