Hollow composite insulators are composed of aluminum alloy flanges, glass fiber-reinforced resin sleeves, and silicone rubber umbrella skirt sheaths. They are commonly used in high-voltage electrical equipment such as GIS combined switches, transformers, mutual inductors, capacitors, arresters, cable accessories, and wall bushings.
The connection between the glass fiber-reinforced resin sleeve and the aluminum alloy flange adopts a process where a sealing ring is placed, followed by pressurization and epoxy bonding.
