Document description

This is an installation drawing for the RWK-38 Line Sectionalizing Load Break Switch Controller.

ROCKWILL RWK-38 Line Sectionalizing Load Break Switch Controller is an outdoor intelligent sectionalizer control unit designed to match 38kV pole-mounted load break switches for overhead distribution feeders. It adopts loss-of-voltage and no-current sectionalizing logic, counting fault trips from upstream protection devices and executing automatic opening after power loss to isolate permanent fault segments. The controller integrates current/voltage signal acquisition, fault counting, event recording, local HMI setting and remote communication functions. The product complies with IEC 60255-1:2018, IEC 60255-26:2020 and IEC 62271-111:2019 standards. Relevant documents include Type Test Certificate No. TT-2025-04188, Witness Test Report No. WT-2025-09121, Routine Factory Test Report No. FT-2025 series, Raw Material Mill Certificates, all issued by CNAS accredited independent test laboratory and available for tender submission, utility review and project site acceptance. Constructed with stainless steel IP65 tropicalised enclosure with anti-corrosion and UV resistant coating, the controller supports dual power supply by external AC220V auxiliary power and built-in backup battery, suitable for long-term pole-mounted outdoor installation.

Frequently asked questions

The RWK-38 Line Sectionalizing Load Break Switch Controller works based on loss-of-voltage and no-current sectionalizing logic. It counts upstream fault reclosing operations and trips automatically after line power loss to isolate permanent fault segments, and cannot directly interrupt short-circuit fault current by itself.
The RWK-38 Line Sectionalizing Load Break Switch Controller is designed and tested in accordance with IEC 60255-1:2018, IEC 60255-26:2020 and IEC 62271-111:2019 standards. It is supported by complete Type Test Certificate No. TT-2025-04188, Witness Test Report No. WT-2025-09121, factory test reports and material certificates for project review and acceptance.
The RWK-38 Line Sectionalizing Load Break Switch Controller can be powered by external AC220V auxiliary power, and is equipped with built-in backup battery with anti-over-discharge protection. It can complete opening/closing actions and maintain all control functions even when external auxiliary power fails.
The RWK-38 Line Sectionalizing Load Break Switch Controller is equipped with RS485 and Ethernet ports, supporting Modbus, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-104 protocols. It can upload line electrical parameters, fault records and equipment status to the SCADA system for remote monitoring.
The RWK-38 Line Sectionalizing Load Break Switch Controller is designed for pole-mounted outdoor installation. The stainless steel enclosure shall be mounted vertically, keep sufficient clearance from the matched load break switch, and ensure waterproof sealing of cable glands after field wiring.
During routine maintenance, inspect the enclosure integrity and sealing condition, check battery health status and wiring terminal tightness, export historical fault records periodically, and verify sectionalizing count settings to guarantee correct fault isolation performance.
