Document description

This document introduces outdoor pole‑mounted smart auto‑recloser complying with IEC 62271‑111 and IEC 62271‑1:2017  international high‑voltage switchgear standards. It adopts vacuum arc‑extinguishing, integrated with intelligent protection controller.

Multiple reclose sequences are configurable to distinguish transient and permanent faults; it locks‑out after preset reclose attempts for permanent faults. Drawings cover overall outline and mounting‑interface dimensions for 15kV,27kV,38kV variants, defining installation angle and pole‑bracket fitting boundaries.

It also includes protection setting, communication integration, site acceptance test and outdoor operation‑maintenance guidance. Widely deployed on suburban & mountain overhead feeders for automatic fault isolation, shortening outage duration and improving distribution‑network reliability.

Frequently asked questions

Outline dimension drawings for each voltage grade, bracket drawing and controller wiring schematic are available. Full IEC 62271‑111:2019 compliant type‑test reports are supplied. We offer protection‑setting consultation, protocol integration support and tender‑phase documentation.

Controller supports mainstream distribution protocols including IEC 60870‑5‑104, DNP3, Modbus. Verify master‑station protocol version and complete point‑mapping before SCADA integration for correct remote‑signal exchange.

Specify higher pollution‑class bushings at order stage. All brackets and fasteners shall be hot‑dip‑galvanized or stainless‑steel. Check bushing contamination in annual inspection and clean when necessary to prevent pollution flash‑over.

After changing current setting, reclose count or time‑delay, functional drive‑test is compulsory. It verifies controller logic and timing match design requirement, preventing fail‑to‑trip or mis‑operation caused by wrong parameter entry under real‑grid fault conditions.

The utility pole must have sufficient mechanical load‑bearing capacity; strength assessment is required prior to installation. Aged, cracked or corroded poles are forbidden. Standard clamps suit circular poles; custom bracket shall be ordered for square poles.

Direct reuse is not allowed. 15kV,27kV,38kV versions differ in overall dimension, mounting hole layout and weight, together with different air‑clearance requirements for external insulation. Grade‑matched brackets shall be applied.

Recloser is self‑contained device. Protection & reclosing logic runs locally; full reclose‑lockout cycle works even without master‑station communication. Breaker+FTU solution heavily depends on remote master‑station; fault handling fails once communication drops. Recloser is preferred for mountain feeders with poor‑communication conditions.
