The Rockwill RVR-1 is a single-phase pole-mounted automatic voltage regulator, purpose-built for 50 Hz overhead distribution networks. It merges oil-immersed transformer reliability with an intelligent digital control module, delivering precise and stable voltage regulation in harsh environments such as remote rural grids, industrial parks, and heavy-load facilities.
Built as an autotransformer with an integrated on-load tap changer (OLTC), the RVR-1 continuously monitors line voltage and current via built-in potential and current transformers, automatically adjusting tap positions to maintain output voltage within tight tolerances. The 32-step tap changer provides a wide boost and buck range, with each step enabling fine voltage correction to compensate for line voltage drops and load fluctuations.
The hermetically sealed oil-immersed tank ensures thermal stability, moisture resistance, and dielectric strength for long-term reliable operation outdoors. The regulator is designed for direct pole mounting on overhead distribution lines, eliminating the need for additional foundations and enabling rapid deployment. An intelligent control module offers real-time monitoring, automatic precision adjustment, and remote communication via GPRS, GSM, or Bluetooth for easy configuration and fault diagnosis.
Pole-mounted design for overhead deployment:Mounts directly on standard utility poles via dedicated brackets, eliminating the need for concrete foundations and enabling rapid installation along existing distribution lines
On-load tap-changing autotransformer:Motor-driven OLTC enables voltage regulation under load without interrupting power supply, ideal for continuous industrial and residential feeders
Intelligent digital control module:Real-time voltage and current monitoring with automatic tap sequencing; supports GPRS, GSM, or Bluetooth for remote configuration and diagnostics
Broad regulation range in fine steps:Multi-step tap changer provides wide boost and buck coverage with precise per-step resolution, maintaining stable output across varying load conditions
Oil-immersed self-cooled construction:Hermetically sealed tank with mineral oil ensures thermal stability, moisture resistance, and dielectric strength for long-term outdoor reliability
Built-in overload protection:Safeguards against abnormal load conditions, coordinating with upstream protective devices for secure network integration
Flexible voltage configuration: Internal potential winding taps and external ratio correction transformer allow one regulator to serve multiple system voltages
IEC and IEEE compliant:Designed and tested in accordance with IEC 60076, IEC 60214, and IEEE C57.15

Rural overhead distribution networks:Pole-mounted voltage regulation on long 50 Hz overhead feeders where line voltage drop causes under-voltage at remote consumers
Industrial park feeders:Stabilizing supply voltage at the point of common coupling serving multiple factories, compensating for fluctuating industrial loads
Agricultural irrigation systems:Maintaining voltage within acceptable limits for motor-driven pump loads along extended overhead lines during peak seasons
Remote mining and resource extraction sites:Voltage stabilization for heavy equipment in remote locations powered by weak 50 Hz grid connections
Suburban and residential areas:Compensating for daytime load variation and maintaining consistent service voltage for end consumers along overhead distribution lines
Temporary construction power:Rapid pole-mount deployment for construction sites requiring temporary voltage regulation without permanent substation construction
The regulator uses multi-step tap switching (e.g., 32-step/16-step) and an intelligent control module to real-time monitor grid voltage fluctuations. It automatically adjusts tap positions to stabilize output voltage within a ±10% (or ±20%) range (0.625%/2.5% per step), compensating for line drops/load changes. Ideal for overhead utility/industrial systems needing consistent voltage.
Designed for 50Hz/60Hz single-phase grids (6kV-34.5kV), it’s pole-mounted for easy overhead line deployment—perfect for rural power networks, industrial parks, and remote load centers. It withstands harsh environments (extreme temps/humidity) and supports custom voltage ratings, fitting diverse utility/industrial precise regulation needs.
