AIS uses ambient air as the main insulation between live parts and earth, in conventional metal-enclosed or sealed panels. It is widely used for MV distribution because air is free, safe and easy to work with.
AIS uses air insulation with a larger footprint and easier access; GIS uses a gas (e.g. SF6 or a dry gas) for much higher dielectric strength, giving a compact footprint. AIS is often preferred for simplicity, cost and maintenance access.
SF6-free means no sulfur hexafluoride gas is used; zero-GWP means the design has zero global-warming potential. Our air, dry-air and sealed-air products use no F-gas, supporting sustainable, low-carbon networks.
Sealed-air units keep ambient air inside a sealed enclosure at low or atmospheric pressure; dry-air units use compressed, low-humidity air for higher insulation strength. Both are SF6-free and maintenance-friendly.
Yes. We manufacture the whole air-insulated range under OEM/ODM with your nameplate, ratings and IEC documentation, matched to your project.
