Document description

BREB Class III 33KV three-phase solid dielectric automatic circuit recloser, compliant with ANSI/IEEE standards, suits tropical climates. Features vacuum interruption, adjustable operation, 3-year warranty, for REB overhead distribution & substations.

ROCKWILL Class III 33kV Automatic Circuit Recloser is three-phase pole-mounted vacuum recloser designed in compliance with IEEE C37.60 Class III and IEC 62271-111 for Bangladesh 33kV overhead distribution feeders. Nominal system voltage 33kV, rated maximum equipment voltage 38kV, rated continuous current 630A /1250A, rated symmetrical breaking current 16kA /20kA. Class III duty cycle defines the recloser’s fault interruption capability for repeated fault operations. Vacuum interrupter with solid dielectric insulation, SF₆-free. IP65 tropicalised control cabinet, anti-salt fog and anti-moisture for Bangladesh monsoon climate. Intelligent controller supports up to four programmable auto-reclose sequences and lockout on permanent faults, with DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104 communication for SCADA. Full type test certificates can be provided for Bangladesh utility tender submission.

Frequently asked questions

33kV Automatic Circuit Reclose Standard for Class III in Bangladesh refers to IEEE C37.60 Class III duty classification. Class III specifies the repeated fault interruption duty cycle for overhead distribution reclosers. It defines how many fault breaking operations the recloser can complete before maintenance, which is a mandatory requirement in many Bangladesh utility tenders.

33kV Automatic Circuit Reclose Standard for Class III in Bangladesh requires rated maximum equipment voltage 38kV for nominal 33kV system. The recloser shall withstand 70kV rms power frequency voltage for 1 minute and 170kV peak lightning impulse voltage (1.2/50μs). The solid dielectric insulation shall remain stable under Bangladesh tropical monsoon environment.

33kV Automatic Circuit Reclose Standard for Class III in Bangladesh requires the recloser to support up to four programmable auto-reclose operations and lock out upon permanent fault. This function automatically restores power for transient overhead faults such as lightning strike, tree contact, which are common on Bangladesh long rural feeders.

33kV Automatic Circuit Reclose Standard for Class III in Bangladesh stipulates the control cabinet shall reach IP65 protection class. The whole recloser shall be tropicalised, anti-UV, anti-corrosion and resistant to high humidity, heavy rain and salt mist to adapt to Bangladesh monsoon and coastal regions.

33kV Automatic Circuit Reclose Standard for Class III in Bangladesh requires full type tests including IEEE C37.60 Class III duty cycle test and IEC series tests. Witness test can be arranged as requested by Bangladesh utilities. The Class III vacuum recloser automatically detects and isolates overhead faults, restores power supply for transient faults, reduces manual line patrol workload and improves power supply reliability for rural agricultural and residential consumers.
