Description

The RMR series SF6 gas-insulated ring main unit (RMU) covers a wide range of medium-voltage applications from 12kV to 40.5kV. It offers a compact, fully enclosed, and fully insulated design with a long service life and maintenance-free operation. Its small footprint makes it ideal for space-constrained indoor installations, while the hermetically sealed gas tank ensures zero gas leakage during normal operation.

This versatile switchgear is widely deployed in urban distribution networks (residential complexes, commercial buildings, high-rise structures), transportation infrastructure (airports, subway stations, railways, tunnels, highways), industrial facilities (factories, mines, industrial parks), as well as renewable energy projects and data centers.

Structural features

  • Safe & Reliable Operation:Comprehensive safety protection designs, including a full mechanical interlocking system and overload protection, ensure operational safety and effectively prevent misoperation and short-circuit risks. This provides a solid foundation for continuous, stable power system operation.

  • Integrated Three-Position Load Switch:The integrated three-position load switch (with closing, opening, and earthing positions) simplifies the internal structure and operating procedures. Precision mechanical linkage design significantly improves switching accuracy, coordination, and response speed, reducing operational errors and enhancing stability.

  • Cost-Effective & Durable:High-quality materials and advanced sealing technology deliver maintenance-free performance throughout the designed service life, eliminating costly shutdowns for routine maintenance. With excellent anti-aging and anti-corrosion properties and a service life of up to 20 years, the equipment substantially reduces full-life-cycle operating costs.

  • Flexible & Versatile Solutions:Supports multiple cable entry options (left, right, top, and front), freely selectable according to site layout. Modular design enables flexible unit combinations, including series and parallel configurations. Combined with insulated busbar connection technology, it accommodates both front-back and left-right cabinet layouts to suit diverse installation scenarios.

  • Broad Application Adaptability:The design balances standardization and customization, meeting conventional industrial and commercial distribution needs while adapting to demanding environments such as renewable energy plants, rail transit systems, and data centers. Flexible structural design readily accommodates varying voltage levels and load capacity requirements.

  • Efficient Outgoing & Space-Saving Design:High-capacity outgoing circuits support power delivery for high-demand equipment. Compact structural layout minimizes footprint while maintaining full performance, making it especially suitable for urban core areas and industrial parks where land resources are at a premium.
