Product descriptions from the supplier

Description

The GRI8-06 series is a multifunctional current monitoring relay that uses isolated current transformer technology and supports through installation and external transformer expansion. Its compact design (with a width of only 18mm) is compatible with standard 35mm card rails, providing dual mode monitoring of overcurrent/undercurrent. The working power supply covers a wide voltage range of AC/DC 24~240V, suitable for mixed AC/DC scenarios.

GRI8-06 series current relay product features:
1. Create a core structure
The direct wiring installation design completely eliminates the need for traditional current relays to disconnect the main circuit, improves installation efficiency, and reduces the risk of system shutdown.
2. Intelligent mode switching function
Quickly set the overcurrent/undercurrent monitoring mode through the panel knob, without the need for professional tools to complete parameter configuration, simplifying the operation and maintenance process.
3. AC/DC global detection capability
Provide AC/DC compatible specification options to achieve seamless adaptation to different power systems and enhance equipment versatility.
4. Scalable monitoring range
The built-in isolation current transformer also supports external transformers, and the monitoring current range can be extended to several thousand amperes, meeting the needs of high current scenarios.
5. Wide range power supply adaptability
AC/DC 24~240V wide voltage input design effectively addresses voltage fluctuations in industrial sites.
6. Dual channel relay output
Equipped with two independent relay contacts (1CO+1NO), it can synchronously trigger alarms and control commands, improving system linkage efficiency.
7. Visual status indication
The high brightness LED indicator light displays the real-time working status and fault type of the relay, achieving fast fault location.
8. Compact design
The 18mm ultra narrow body, combined with 35mm standard card rail installation, provides an efficient space solution for high-density electrical cabinets.

Why Do Substations Use Stones, Gravel, Pebbles, and Crushed Rock?In substations, equipment such as power and distribution transformers, transmission lines, voltage transformers, current transformers, and disconnect switches all require grounding. Beyond grounding, we will now explore in depth why gravel and crushed stone are commonly used in substations. Though they appear ordinary, these stones play a critical safety and functional role.In substation grounding design—especially when multiple gr

  • Why Must a Transformer Core Be Grounded at Only One Point? Isn't Multi-Point Grounding More Reliable?
Why Does the Transformer Core Need to Be Grounded?During operation, the transformer core, along with the metal structures, parts, and components that fix the core and windings, are all situated in a strong electric field. Under the influence of this electric field, they acquire a relatively high potential with respect to ground. If the core is not grounded, a potential difference will exist between the core and the grounded clamping structures and tank, which may lead to intermittent discharge.I
