Schneider Electric, a leader in energy management and automation digital transformation, launched its first Impact Building in Dubai under the new Impact Buildings Program. Leveraging best-in-class EcoStruxure™ solutions like Building Operation and Power Monitoring Expert, the program aims to boost sustainability in its global commercial real estate.
The NEST, Schneider's 10,000sqm Dubai office, houses over 1,000 employees, a Global Innovation Hub, and a Training Center. It focuses on youth empowerment by developing local talent. Compared to the previous site, The NEST anticipates a 37% energy consumption cut and a reduction of 572 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to 77 homes' power use.
With buildings contributing 37% of global carbon emissions, this project sets a benchmark. Schneider will expand the Impact Buildings Program to new and existing buildings via retrofits in 18 months. Executives Manish Kumar and Olivier Blum emphasized that this initiative redefines building operations, accelerates net zero goals, and prioritizes occupant well - being while revolutionizing commercial spaces.
