Le RHB‑330 adopte une structure de sectionneur à ouverture horizontale (rotation horizontale), équipé d'un support de mécanisme de manœuvre, et est largement déployé dans les postes électriques extérieurs de 33 kV.
La fondation doit supporter une charge statique : horizontale 50 000 N, verticale 80 000 N. La différence de hauteur entre chaque surface d'appui ne doit pas dépasser 2 mm, le poids propre de la fondation doit être pris en compte lors de la conception du génie civil.
