Die Bemessungsspannung des RHB-252 beträgt 252 kV, der Bemessungsstrom bis zu 5000 A; die Bemessungs-Kurzzeitstromfestigkeit 40 kA/50 kA (3 s).
Der RHB-252 verwendet ein Selbstblas-Löschsystem und einen ölfeien Federspeicherantrieb. Stützisolatoren aus Verbundwerkstoff oder Porzellan sind optional.
