From a regional manufacturer to a global heavy-equipment EPC supplier, Zhejiang Vziman Electric Co., Ltd. is redefining the standards of Chinese electrical manufacturing on the world stage.

1. Industrial Transition: The Leap from Changshan to Lishui

Registered in February 2022 in the Lishui Jingning Ethnic Industrial Park, Zhejiang Vziman Electric Co., Ltd. was established with a registered capital of 100 million RMB and a paid-in capital of 90 million RMB. By 2025, the company had 108 insured employees, firmly securing its position as a key smart electrical enterprise in the region.

Vziman did not start from scratch. Its technological foundation and product lines directly inherit the legacy of Zhejiang Pu'ertaike Electric Co., Ltd., which was founded in 2017 in Quzhou Changshan. Pu'ertaike brought with it a 50-acre campus, a 24,000-square-meter facility, a dedicated team of over 100 professionals, and established export channels to Central Asia and Africa.

This strategic transition combined Changshan’s deep manufacturing craftsmanship with Lishui’s capital leverage. It transformed a traditional factory into a modern manufacturing entity capable of independently securing KEMA, TÜV, and UL certifications while operating under an international Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project framework.

2. Manufacturing Ecosystem: Five Core Product Portfolios

Centered around the export of system-level power distribution equipment, Vziman operates five primary product lines, with a distinct competitive advantage in line voltage regulators and complete distribution sets:

Product Category

3. The Compliance Foundation: ISO/IEC 60076 + KEMA + TÜV + UL

Vziman's qualification framework is strategically built across three layers, reflecting a pragmatic "certification as R&D" philosophy:

  • System Layer: The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications and was recognized as a Zhejiang Sci-Tech SME in 2025. It boasts 21 intellectual property rights, including an invention patent for smart transformers in power systems.

  • Product Layer: SG dry-type transformers passed comprehensive TÜV Rheinland testing to secure CE and CB declarations. The NGH-12 RMU achieved a KEMA-issued IEC type report covering 50/60Hz dual frequencies and E3-class 12kV testing. Furthermore, 110/220kV skid-mounted transformers are evaluated under UL/CUL/CSA standards.

  • Efficiency Layer: Featuring H-class insulation and low-loss wound core designs, the equipment achieves no-load losses significantly lower than traditional stacked laminations, meeting stringent multi-national low-carbon thresholds like ErP.

4. International Engineering Portfolio: Defined by Extreme Conditions

Vziman builds global trust not by simply counting the number of export destinations, but through a proven track record of reliable operations in extreme environments.

  • Suriname (Nov 2025): Partnering with Indian EPC KPIL, Vziman successfully energized 40 bays of ZF12B-126 110kV GIS across five capital substations, establishing a model for China-India-Suriname cooperation.

  • Russia Altai Krai (-45°C): 29 RVR 10kV pole-mounted regulators were deployed across a 180km rural grid, maintaining stable voltage qualification rates through three consecutive extreme winters.

  • Kenya Takaba: Delivering a 500kVA diesel generator and 1MVA step-up transformer to the REA in a complex, drought-ridden, and dusty terrain. Vziman optimized cooling and anti-corrosion coatings, driving grounding resistance down to 2.8Ω against a local requirement of ≤4Ω, passing the 72-hour full-load test on the first attempt.

  • Madagascar (Apr 2026): Executed a substation upgrade by replacing an old 10MVA main transformer with two 25MVA RMR-25000/35 units. This involved foundation modifications, vacuum oil filling, and commissioning under dual IEC and GB/T standards, increasing capacity by 150%.

  • Ethiopia (Dec 2025): Two 20,000kVA power transformers passed factory acceptance by the EEU expert panel, destined for a Canadian Solar project at a local battery plant.

Domestically, Vziman’s operational pace is just as aggressive. After beginning production in February 2024, the company surpassed 100 million RMB in output value by November, becoming Jingning’s first equipment enterprise to hit these milestones in its founding year. Moving into 2026, the company reported a 70% post-holiday return rate with a saturated overseas order book, heavily focusing on the African market.

5. Strategic Industry Positioning: Heavy Equipment & High Standards

While many competitors focus on low-voltage components or single consumables, Vziman has deliberately chosen the complex path of system-level heavy equipment. This strategy creates immense differentiation:

  • High Unit Value: The contract value of a single 25MVA main transformer or a 132kV prefabricated cabin far exceeds that of standard components.

  • Full-Lifecycle Delivery: Vziman handles everything from dismantling old units, foundation work, and hoisting to vacuum oil filling, 72-hour full-load testing, and localized maintenance training.

  • Direct Institutional Engagement: The company deals directly with national power authorities like EEU, REA, and KPLC, alongside major international EPC contractors like KPIL.

  • Strict Technical Barriers: Mastery of wound core annealing processes, vacuum oil filling cleanliness, and acquiring IEC/KEMA/UL reports form a highly verifiable international barrier to entry.

6. Conclusion: Embedding "Made in China" into the Global Grid

From the first substation blueprint drafted in Changshan in 2017 to powering capital grids in Suriname and standing resilient against the Russian snowline in 2026, Vziman has charted a definitive course. Over nine years, it has transformed from a private domestic factory into a highly specialized exporter of power distribution and voltage regulation systems.

The ultimate takeaway from Vziman’s journey is clear: in an engineering sector traditionally dominated by Western brands, the true ticket to entry is not cheap pricing. It is the rigorous adherence to every clause of IEC 60076, every data point validated by KEMA, every successful 72-hour full-load test, and the relentless optimization of grounding resistance down to the last 0.2 ohms.

When these metrics are officially signed off by global authorities, the nameplate reading "ZHEJIANG VZIMAN" rightfully claims its place alongside the world’s elite power equipment giants.
