Product Detail

Overview

The generator circuit-breaker systems are three-phase systems with a SF6 circuit-breaker and a discon-nector in single-phase enclosures, supplied fully assembled on a common frame, with operating mechanisms and control equipment. In addition to the circuit-breaker and disconnector, the generator circuit-breaker systems are available with earthing switch, starting switch, short-circuiting connection, current and voltage transformers, surge capacitor and surge arrester. The single line diagram of a generator circuit-breaker system type HECS is depicted in figure.

Market pioneer

The wide range of ratings with short-circuit currents from 80 to 130 kA makes HECS the most used GCB in the world suitable for power plants with a unit power of up to 800 MW. With small and standardized dimensions HECS is easy to install and highly suitable for replacements and retrofits in existing power plants. HECS has very low lifecycle cost with up to 20,000 close-open (CO) no-load operations or 20 years between main overhauls.

World leader with state-of-art technology

HECS products are type tested according to IEEE C37.013 and in certain aspects even exceed the minimum requirements of IEC/ IEEE 62271-37-013, including switching of fault currents with full phase opposition (180°; out-of-phase). It is also type tested to interrupt generator-source short-circuit current exhibiting delayed current zeros with up to 130% degree of asymmetry.

Digitally integrated with GMS600

HECS is fully integrated with GCB digital monitoring system, GMS600. The GMS600 can perform many functions: data logging, disturbance recording, drive supervi-sion, temperature and SF6 density monitoring. In addition, HECS supports integration of GMS600-A, a breakthrough solution which measures online the contact overlapping time and gives indication of the ablation without the need to go out of operation. Data logged through GMS600 can be connected via the clouds to Digital Enterprise Connect platform.

Compact design

HECS products are fully assembled and factory tested to bring substantial cost and time savings in installation and commissioning at site. Its compact design fits into standard containers for easy transportation, handling and storage.

Analysis of Issues and Causes in Smart Meter Testing
1. Issues and Cause Analysis in Smart Electricity Meter TestingDuring the verification of smart electricity meters, inspections must be conducted on the meter’s appearance, as well as the clarity and integrity of nameplate markings. Additionally, careful checks are required for physical damage and whether the display can show digits completely. A power-on inspection is also necessary. If error codes appear on the display after power-up, faults should be identified and addressed according to the
