DTU (Distribution Terminal Unit), a substation terminal in distribution automation systems, is secondary equipment installed in switching stations, distribution rooms, N2 Insulation ring main units (RMUs), and box-type substations. It bridges primary equipment and the distribution automation master station. Older N2 Insulation RMUs without DTUs cannot communicate with the master station, failing to meet automation requirements. While replacing entire RMUs with new DTU-integrated models would sol

In the context of deep integration of informatization and intelligence, protective spaces, as core carriers of critical communication systems, their stability and safety directly impact information transmission reliability and infrastructure operational efficiency. Thus, analyzing core difficulties (environmental adaptability matching, electromagnetic compatibility design, construction precision control) in communication cable installation in protective spaces holds significant engineering value

Automatic backup switching (ABTS) devices are core components ensuring the safe, reliable, and stable operation of factory power grids. Their startup logic strictly follows the dual criteria of "loss of voltage in the working power supply + no - current detection", effectively avoiding misjudgments caused by secondary disconnection of voltage transformers (VTs) or maloperations of ABTS due to secondary circuit faults of current transformers (CTs). The activation condition requires both "no volta

The installation quality of combined instrument transformers directly affects whether they can operate safely and stably. Therefore, during the installation process, several key aspects must not be overlooked — such as foundation construction, grounding, sealing checks, testing and commissioning, as well as secondary wiring. Below, I’ll explain these points in a more conversational way.1. Foundation Construction Must Be Solid, Especially in Plateau AreasAlthough a combined in

1. Selection of Low - Voltage Current Transformer ConfigurationThere are many factors leading to wrong selection of low - voltage current transformers in civil construction projects. For example, common factors include design problems: the calculated coefficient designed for the load of electrical equipment is relatively large, or the transformation ratio of the current transformer is selected incorrectly. Such a series of reasons will affect the use of electrical equipment. Therefore, in the co

Hey everyone! I'm James, a professional with over 10 years of experience installing voltage transformers. Today, I want to talk about the selection and installation of Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) voltage transformers in 66kV outdoor substations. These devices are critical for measurement and protection in power systems. Their proper selection and installation directly affect the safety and stability of the entire electrical grid. With the advancement of smart grid technology, electronic AIS vo
